Smart Move |
|
Anticipating your next move is important because when your orders finally do arrive, you may have only a few weeks before you hit the road. |
|
In general, you can expect to move about every three years—which
gives you time to save between relocations. Still, there may
be times in a military career when moves happen almost every
year. That’s why it’s wise to start planning for
the next move shortly after you’ve unpacked from your
last move. This will keep you prepared for deployments or
“PCS surprises.”
Anticipating your next move is important because when your
orders finally do arrive, you may have only a few weeks before
you hit the road. You’ll lower your stress level—and
help keep peace in the family—if you make financial
planning for a move part of your everyday life.
